Types of Memberships

Turlock Golf & Country Club offers several types of memberships to fit the needs of those interested in belonging to this beautiful club set in the vast farmlands of the Central San Joaquin Valley. All memberships are subject to final acceptance by the Board of Directors based on the recommendation of the Membership Committee.

Proprietary Membership
A Proprietary membership entitles the member to all rights, privileges and use of all facilities at the Club. These privileges are also extended to the spouse and all unmarried children under the age of twenty-one; and to any unmarried child over the age of 21 but under 25 who shall reside with the member and who is regularly attending school.

The number of Proprietary memberships is limited to 400. These memberships, if available, are acquired by completing an Application for Membership and securing two Member sponsors, as well as two outside references. The transfer fee retained by the Club is $4,000. The Club handles all transfers of Memberships. MONTHLY DUES are $345.00 - effective 1/1/11, and an additional monthly fee of $40.00 is restricted for capital improvements (effective 10/1/01). This includes unlimited range balls.

There is a MINIMUM SPENDING requirement of $150.00 every THREE months. The minimum spending charges are for food services and are charged on a quarterly basis applicable to all members. Any member not spending $150.00 every three months will be charged the difference. Minimum spending is billed the last day of March, June, September and December. There are NO CARRY-OVERS from previous spending periods.

Proprietary Corporate Membership
A Proprietary Corporate membership is available for a corporation, partnership or sole proprietorship provided the enterprise has its own tax identification number and is engaged in on-going, non-passive, business activities. This membership is acquired by completing an Application for Membership and securing two member sponsors, as well as two outside references. The application shall designate the name and address of a full-time employee or owner of such enterprise to act as its agent who shall have the rights of ownership.

MONTHLY DUES are $345.00 - effective 1/1/11, and an additional monthly fee of $40.00 is restricted for capital improvements (effective 10/1/01). This includes unlimited range balls.

Any member not spending $450.00 every three months will be charged the difference. Minimum spending is billed the last day of March, June, September and December. There are NO CARRY-OVERS from previous spending periods.

On the application the designated agent can add up to two additional names as "playing units". For each named playing unit, the membership owner shall be charged an additional monthly amount equal to 50% of the prevailing dues assessed under the certificate for the membership privileges of a single golfing membership or 75% of the prevailing dues for the member privileges of a family golfing membership. Each additional playing unit will also be responsible for spending the bar and food monthly minimum and paying for all ancillary services requested, such as fees due under the cart program. Family members of the designated agent and playing units shall receive all the social benefits of club membership.

Proprietary Single Membership
A Proprietary Single membership entitles the member to full access to all of the club's facilities, which include golf, swimming, dining and clubhouse, and all social related activities. Golf privileges shall extend only to the member, however, family members shall receive all the social benefits of club membership.

Dues for this type of membership are 75% of Proprietary.

Young Professional
Young Professional Memberships are available to those who are between the ages of twenty-one (21) and thirty-five (35), inclusive. At age thirty-six (36), this membership converts to a non-equity Proprietary membership.

This membership provides full access to all of the club's facilities, which include golf, swimming, dining, and clubhouse and includes all social related activities for the members, member's spouse and dependent children as described above.

Dues for this type of membership are 75% of Proprietary.

Social Membership
Social Memberships are available for those persons not interested in unlimited use of the golf facilities. This type of membership is non-proprietary and non-transferable. Social Members, spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21 have full use of the clubhouse and swimming pool (along with their guests).

The Social Member has golfing privileges once per month for up to one foursome of their immediate family (spouse and eligible children) at the current green fee. Playing privileges are non-cumulative, non-divisible and non-assignable.

All applicants for a Social Membership must complete a Social Membership Application. The Board of Directors must approve all Social Members. There is a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $500 for a Social membership. Social monthly dues are $60.00 and Social Members have $90.00 quarterly minimum spending requirement. (See explanation above).

Trial Membership
With trial membership, you get to try out Proprietary membership before you actually purchase a membership. It is three month's dues only at the end of three months if you like the club and would like to remain a member you would then pay the current initiation fee and convert to membership. If you decide, it just isn't right for you after the three month trial you can simply walk away.

Leased Membership
These memberships are perfect for those who aren't sure they want to be a member for more than a couple of years. You may only lease a Proprietary Family or Proprietary Single Membership. If you choose the leased membership, you will be responsible for that membership for a period of one year. You pay a $1,000 initiation fee, which will go towards a full membership if you choose to buy a membership at the end of your lease term. You are then responsible for the monthly dues for that year. At the end of your first year, you can choose to continue to lease the membership, buy your own membership, or walk away. You may only lease a membership for a total of two years.

Junior Membership
Junior Memberships are available to those who are between the ages of thirteen (13) and twenty (20). At age twenty – one (21), this membership coverts to a non-equity Young Professional membership. This membership provides full access to all of the club's facilities, which include golf, swimming, dining, and clubhouse and includes all social related activities for the member’s legal guardians.
